3 DAYS QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK SAFARI.
Overview
Take a safari to the home of tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector and also chimpanzees our cousins in Kyambura gorge. The journey rewards you with both wildlife and culture by taking an enroute visit to the Bakiga and Batooro communities in the Isunga Cultural excursion near Kibale national park.
The journey to and from this park is rewarding with an attraction like the Rwenzori ranges covered with glaciers, tea plantations valleys and hills. Also, stopovers are amazing with the major ones in Mubende and Fortportal the tourism city. Have a view of the Tooro royal palace, which is located in the middle of the Fort portal at Karuzika hill.
Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park.
Have breakfast at the hotel or be picked from Entebbe international airport and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park in western Uganda. This park is well known for homing the rare tree-climbing lions that can be spotted in the Ishasha sector. The park also homes other wildlife such as elephants, different antelopes, warthogs, buffalos hippos, crocodiles among others.
Also the park has some primates like the mighty chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, olive baboons among others. The journey is rewarding as you pass through the scenic hills valleys, Rwenzori ranges, and tea plantations among others. You will check in the accommodation and relax after a long drive of about 6 hours.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
The game drive starts immediately either before or after breakfast and traverses in the Kasenyi plains which is full of mammals, cats, antelopes and magical sightings. The drive takes about 2-3 hours while discovering Queen Elizabeth national park.
Then, in the afternoon take a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will spot water lovers such as crocodiles, hippos and elephants, warthogs and waterbucks on the banks of the channel. After the cruise which takes about 2 hours, head back to the lodge.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala, with an enroute visit at Isunga cultural community. Evening drop of at the airport.
Wake up early and drive to Kampala passing and making a turn to Isunga cultural community where you will have a short experience for Batooro and Bakiga cultures.
Here you can take a community tour or enjoy the traditional dances and music. Great experience you need to enjoy, and then proceed to Kampala which will be followed by the drop-off at either a hotel or Entebbe international airport.
