3 DAYS BWINDI GORILLA TOUR FROM KIGALI.

Overview.

The amazing safari to Bwindi national park in Uganda will begin and end in Kigali, Rwanda. This means that you will have a chance to visit two countries in East Africa within only three days.

The safari will take you to visit and trek the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat as well as a visit to the Batwa community which is one of Uganda’s unique culture. This involves driving and walking safari and we are confident that you will love this 3 days gorilla tour.

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National park from Kigali.

Our tour representative will welcome you from Kigali international airport or pick you from the hotel and make a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. This is a home to mountain gorillas and it’s among the conservation area located in Virunga Mountains.

Visiting this park is a great idea as you have a 98% chance of seeing these gorillas because it has over half of the total gorilla population in the world. It’s also among the UNESCO world heritage sites, therefore it is a good hub for tourism.

Birding excursions can also be done here with over 400 bird species including 24 rift valley endemics and 13 which cannot be spotted elsewhere. The journey from Kigali to this park can take about 3-4 hours to cross the Katuna border. In case you don’t have a visa and other documents, you will spend some good time at the border to get the required documents. Then proceed to the home of gorillas - Bwindi forest national park and check in at the booked lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour.

Embark on a massif adventure after breakfast at the lodge of gorilla trekking which begins with a briefing. Briefing exercise will help you to know more about the impenetrable forest, checking gorilla permits, assigning of a group to trek with, rules and regulations while trekking and all the required information you need to know about this park.

With the help of a ranger guide, you will penetrate to start the search. On locating these gentle giants, you will have an hour to spend with them as you take and record memorable photos. Then trek back after 2-3 hours to the starting point where you will meet your driver and drive back to the lodge for lunch.

Enjoy the Batwa cultural tour after lunch where you will be entertained with cultural music, taste the cultural dishes, speak their language among others and then support them by purchasing some crafts from them and take them as souvenirs. Then head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Depart back to Kigali and departure.

Have a leisurely breakfast and then transfer back to Kigali where you will be dropped at either the airport or hotel and this will be the end of this 3 days’ tour.
