3 DAYS AKAGERA WILDLIFE SAFARI.

Overview.

This 3 Days Akagera National Park wildlife safari will take you to Rwanda’s only wildlife safari. It is a great one for visitors interested in a quick classic wildlife safari while in Rwanda. This safari features morning and evening game drives and a boat safari on Lake Ihema.

Detailed safari.

Day 1: Kigali – Akagera national park.

After breakfast meet our guide/driver and after drive southern Rwanda with the visit to the some of the Rwanda genocide memorials and some cultural markets with lunch en-route and thereafter transfer to the park. Upon arrival, take an evening en-route game drive spotting herds of wildlife like, lions, buffaloes, water and bush back, warthogs, giraffes. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight at your booked lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and Lake Ihema boat cruise.

This morning, you will wake up early and head to the park before sunrise to look out for the early risers. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas and the different antelopes that graze freely in the park.

Later in the afternoon after lunch, you will go for a boat safari on Lake Ihema which will reward you with sights of huge hippos, crocodiles and countless water, swamp and savannah birds that come here during a scorching afternoon. Some of the birds found here include fish eagle, cormorants, and kingfishers among others.

You will return to the boat for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Kigali. End of tour.

Today marks the end of your successful safari. You will be transferred back to Kigali after breakfast. If you have an outbound flight, your guide will transfer you to Kigali airport. Optional city tour can also be undertaken on this day.
